A large part of wellness and quality of life is learning how to manage stress successfully. The best part of managing stress is that it can be learned! Activities offered through the Wellness Center can teach you how to reduce excessive worry and anxiety, how to lessen bodily symptoms of stress and tension, and how to cope more effectively with the stress of day-to-day life.
However, wellness is not just the absence of anxiety or stress- It is the conscious development of the whole self! Through the Wellness Center, you can learn how to develop and enjoy inner peace and contentment, increase your creativity, and reach a more positive state of mental and physical health.
Our Wellness Center has several components:
The Stress Management Clinic: Groups and workshops designed to reduce stress and increase well-being.
Relaxation Central: This is a new and unique way to promote wellness and relaxation. On our website, our Relaxation Central offers ways to relax, explains the road to relaxation and reducing stress, and provides relaxation audio and video clips.
Resources: Our website has links to self-help resources on campus and on the web!
